The online application is one of many ways you can apply for employment with the
City of Irving. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE AN ALTERNATE METHOD TO SUBMIT
YOUR APPLICATION IF YOU:
plan to submit a résumé
(or requested attachment) with your application, since only the online
application will be forwarded to the hiring supervisor;
prefer not to have
information you provide kept in our online database;
intend to submit an
application for more than one City position and wish to tailor each for
the specific job, rather than submit the same information on all

six employers on your application (employment history for the last 10 years is

Your user name and password, and all application information will be
deleted from our database if six months has passed since the date you submitted
your last online application.

Your completed application may then be submitted in person, via U.S. mail or by
GENERAL APPLICATION INFORMATION
The City of Irving accepts applications only for positions
that are currently open.
A separate application is required for every position for which you
are applying, but please submit only one application for each.
If you are interested in becoming a police officer or firefighter, instead of
submitting an application, you must first register to take the next entrance

Jobs close at 5:00 p.m. Central Time on the posted closing
date. Applications submitted for a position after 5:00 p.m. on its
closing date will be ineligible for employment consideration.
An application submitted online will be signed by the
applicant upon interview or at the time of a conditional offer of employment.
Pre-employment drug screening is required for all positions.
